The following photo shows your shock absorber already with the original bushings disassembled and a FixShox ready for installation. If you don't have the right tools to take out old compasses, get help from a trusted mechanic
To order the correct FixShox we need 3 sizes:
- Width of the original bush to be replaced. The sizes range from 18mm up to 45mm
- Eyelet diameter.
- Through hole of the fixing bolt
Let's start with the search for the spacer width. It can be obtained in the following ways:
- Measure the original spacer
- Measure the width of the seat in the frame
- Look for the specifications in the bike manual
Search for the diameter of the eyelet.
There are two diameters available: the most common in recent years is 15mm while the oldest 14.7mm can still be found. So be careful to measure. See following photo.
