What differentiates the REVO and REVO FHIT from the Classic?
The REVO is a concentrate of technology in a cylindrical body of just 15 mm. It contains 9 components, three of which are absolutely necessary for its operation:
Master cylinder
Core
Bush (compass) polymer or FHIT
We wanted to significantly improve the features of the FixShox Classic, necessary for perfect operation:
Smooth and frictionless axial rotation.
More precise and durable ball joint.
Polymer compass life or FHIT
Reduced friction. To do this, we had to separate the two constraints, effectively creating two coaxial compasses, one inside the other.
The core rotates freely, coaxially with the master cylinder.
The bush concentrates on performing the function of a spherical joint, separate from the axial function, significantly extending its wear.
It becomes evident that the REVO and REVO FHIT is the necessary choice to be installed on the shock absorber in the direction of the rear stay. By taking advantage of the Core-main cylinder coaxiality, it will be free to oscillate for all the necessary degrees without affecting the consumption of the compass.
But where does the Fixshox Classic become useful?
The FixShox Classic becomes the best choice typically in the front part of the shock absorber or the frame, where the axial movement is almost zero or it is advisable that it is included within 5 degrees of axial oscillation, while it perfectly performs its function as a ball joint.
The FixShox REVO in a nutshell:
Two mechanisms in one to separate axial motion from spherical motion.
Master Cylinder and Core in steel.
Polymer or metal compass (FHIT).
Zero friction stack, like a ball bearing.
Increased life of the sockets.
14 mm shoulder shoulders.
Sealed.
Requires little maintenance.
All the most common sizes available.
